Alcohol is a fact of life in many areas of our society in the UK today. Most
people drink to help them unwind or to enjoy themselves at parties or on a night
out. Celebrations, weddings and funerals regularly include alcohol as part of
the occasion.
Many people drink alcohol without experiencing any problems. However, if you
have developed a pattern of very heavy drinking or binge drinking you could be
affecting several aspects of your life:
- Health
- Relationships
- Education
- Job
- Finances
- Housing
You may not realise the full extent of what is happening to you
and the people close to you. Deciding to make a change can be very
difficult.
Doing it alone can cause further problems. The ADS is here to help
people with alcohol-related problems and their family members. We run
several projects that you can contact directly for guidance and support.
Our trained counsellors will discuss your concerns and help you plan
what happens next.
Use our services in complete confidence - we do not share information
with other people or agencies unless we have your permission (except
in extreme circumstances). |
