
Drugs have a powerful effect on the mind. They make you feel good – at
first. Drug use becomes a problem when it affects how you live and how you respond
to the people around you. You can end up losing control of your life, with serious
consequences to your:

- Relationships
- Education
- Job
- Finances
- Housing
Making the decision to change your life and get help can be very difficult. If
you can’t cope, you are going to find it really hard to take that first
step. The ADS is here to help you through that stage. We run several projects
that you can contact directly for guidance and support. Our trained counsellors
will discuss your concerns and help you plan what happens next.
We are also here to support friends and family members who are affected by your
actions.
