Description:
The Alcohol and Drugs Service is a locally based, independent organisation working in Hull, The East Riding of Yorkshire, North and North East Lincolnshire. It is a highly regarded dynamic agency committed to offering confidential, professional and modern services to help people overcoming substance use problems.

We have recently been awarded a contract to deliver an exciting new service for alcohol misusers in the East Riding. The Alcohol Aftercare Service (East Riding) based in Goole will deliver a combination of one to one support delivered within a service users own home and group based support delivered at venues throughout the East Riding.

Requirements:
We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated, excellent communicators who enjoy working as part of a team and are able to use their own initiative.

The role will involve managing and providing leadership to a small team and have a leading role in developing the service. The successful candidate will provide supervision and support to practitioners and an administrator. The key objective in this role will be to ensure that the project is integrated into the alcohol treatment system.
The successful candidate will have a qualification in counselling or social work, an ILM level 5 or equivalent in Management and previous experience at a supervisory level.

Experience of working directly with people with problematic substance use and delivering key working and psychological/psychosocial interventions would be advantageous.

An NVQ level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent and previous experience of setting up administrative systems and knowledge of the criminal justice system would be advantageous.

The senior post will take a lead role in the service provision and supervise practitioners based at our Hull office and function as part of the team delivering screening, advice, brief interventions and structured individually tailored packages of care based on key working techniques on a one to one and group basis. Some evening work will be required on a rota basis.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a qualification in counselling or social work, or a qualification in a related field, and evidenced experience of working with substance users. A practice teacher qualification and previous supervisory experience is desirable.

The role will deliver advice, support, and information through the direct access element of the service based in Hull and will manage a caseload of service users with alcohol related problems. The successful candidate will liaise with the prison and probation service to provide targeted support to ex-prisoners and some prison in-reach. Some evening work will be required on a rota basis.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a professional qualification and some evidenced experience of working with substance users. An understanding of the criminal justice system is desirable.
